
On Saturday, July 17, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M., EPIC’s beautiful outdoor patio will host The Second Annual “High on the Hog” Pinot Noir tasting and pig roast, a gourmet feast and wine tasting event of epic proportions. Live music and spectacular views complement Chef Jan Birnbaum’s menu, which includes Slow Roasted Fennel Porchetta, a selection of charcuteries, Molasses-Honey Pork Spare Ribs, Grain Mustard and Sweet Onion Potato Salad, and a sweet yet savory ending of Homemade Maple Ice Cream Cones with Bacon Brittle.
The Pinot Noir tasting will feature award-winning wineries, including Claypool Cellars, Fogdog, Fort Ross Vineyards, Freeman Winery, Goldeneye Winery, Hartford Family Winery, Hirsh Vineyards, Pisoni Vineyards, Red Car, Roessler Cellars, Tailsman Cellars and Zepaltas Wines.
Uniquely combining the soulful roots of the traditional steakhouse with the contemporary elegance of modern fine dining, EPIC Roasthouse takes diners "Beyond the Traditional Steak House" experience. Pat Kuleto’s unique interior design pairs exposed pipework and stainless steel accents with chic marble counters and buttery leather seating in rich shades of caramel, chocolate, and espresso. An oversized fireplace presides regally over the main dining room, alluding to the comfort and luxury of a classic steakhouse meal.
An open kitchen and state-of-the-art exhibition line gives diners a unique view as Chef Jan Birnbaum and staff masterfully sear and roast aged, naturally-raised beef, Carlton Ranch pork, and lamb using a custom-built wood-fired grill and a large wood-burning oven. Wine Director Petra Polakovicova oversees an extensive wine list of approximately 400 bottles, while Bar Chef Camber Lay offers a great selection of hand-crafted cocktails and domestic and imported beers.
