Towering floral arrangements and multi-tiered chandeliers compose AJ Maxwell’s regal air, echoed by the restaurant’s French-tinged American fare. Pinot Noir lends a velvety depth to braised short ribs, while the generously portioned Porterhouse steak slices as smoothly as the herbed butter that accompanies it.
A fitting fin to the evening is found in the upside-down apple tart, a French classic whose golden crust and caramelized apples serve as a rich sign-off for all senses.
