Nestled in the reportedly haunted Alexandria Hotel, The Gorbal’s relaxed butcher shop-chic aesthetic belies wondrously crafted, shareable small plates and liquid libations—all reflections of Chef Hall’s world travels.

Carnivores rejoice with offerings such as confit beef tongue, succulent roasted lamb neck, and the house specialty: a mountainous, half-cut roasted pig's head—jowls and all. With a nod to his half-Scottish, half-Israeli roots—the place is named for a less-than-reputable neighborhood of Glasglow—Chef Hall infuses offal, peasant-cuts, and more into genre-defying gastronomic imaginings.
